Join us for the 2024 Rogue Valley Farm Tour! The event will be held on Sunday, July 14th from 10am to 3pm at participating farms and ranches in Jackson and Josephine counties. Step behind the scenes and meet the makers, taste artisanal foods, and explore a vast array of local goods.

Summer Camp: Eat Your Way Around the World!

Join Rogue Valley Farm to School this summer as we dive into food production, preparation, and exploration! Campers will have the opportunity to work with staff in the kitchen and on the farm, learning new culinary skills along the way. This is a great opportunity for kids who are curious about cooking and excited to grow their skills in the kitchen! During the week, campers will learn how to prepare healthy, delicious meals from scratch, inspired by foods from cultures around the world. Topics covered will include knife skills, kitchen and food safety, measurement, reading recipes, and international cooking techniques. Campers will prepare and try new cuisines that are sure to delight the senses and inspire the soul!

Camp will take place Monday & Tuesday at the Co-op Community Classroom and Wednesday & Thursday at the Farm at SOU. Please send your child with a substantial snack each day. Lunch will be provided, prepared hands-on by the campers! Dietary restrictions will be accommodated. Ages 9-12.

Save the Date: Annual Turnip the Beet Fundraiser

Kick off Summer with Eight Dollar Mountain at Rogue Valley Farm to School's annual benefit concert, sponsored by Fry Family Farm. Enjoy a memorable evening full of dancing and fun. The program features a two-part raffle with thousands of dollars worth of exciting prizes donated by local businesses and free kids activities.

The event is being held at Fry Family Farm, 2184 Ross Lane, Medford, OR. Food is available for purchase and beverages have been generously donated by several famous local wineries and breweries. (Nonalcoholic options are also available.)

This is a family-friendly event with children's activities available at no additional cost.

Gates open at 4 pm, the first raffle is at 5:15 pm

- $35 admission per adult

- Kids are free and must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.

- Food and beverages are available for purchase. No outside food or drink is permitted.

- Please leave your pets at home

- Bring blankets or chairs to set up on the lawn, no reserved seating is available.

- 100% of proceeds benefit Rogue Valley Farm to School

Come to the second annual Garden Picnic at the Herb Pharm Botanical Gardens. Bring a picnic and explore more than 500 species of plants while enjoying free kids activities provided by Rogue Valley Farm to School. This year community partners, White Oak Farm, Pollinator Project Rogue Valley, Josephine County Library, River Stars, Wild Garden Medicinals, Mido's Miso, Southern Oregon Sourdough, TruJuice Organics, and Kamome Foundation will also be providing activities and items for purchase.

Activities:

  • Guided Farm Tours (11:00-12:00 & 12:30-1:30) - learn more about the regenerative, organic practices used to cultivate herbs used in Herb Pharm products

  • Self Guided Botanical Garden Tours

  • Vegetable Tasting Table by Rogue Valley Farm to School

  • Free Kids Activities

  • Insect Investigations with Pollinator Project Rogue Valley

Join us at the Talent Library on May 22nd from 6-7 PM for a Family Advocacy Night about School Food. We want to hear from you, families of Phoenix Talent Schools, about what is important to you when it comes to student nutrition and school meals. You'll hear how Rogue Valley Farm to School works with schools, a bit about the complexities of school food, and have the opportunity to brainstorm support for school food service offerings.

2024 Wild & Scenic Siskiyou Film Festival

Swing by the Rogue Valley Farm to School table to say hello!

The 22nd annual Siskiyou Film Festival is thrilled to announce the Wild & Scenic Film Festival of 2024. This festival aims to bring the community together to celebrate our work in protecting the Klamath-Siskiyou wildlands and restoring clean water in the Rogue Basin through film and art.

The festival will be held on April 12th at the Ashland Armory and on April 14th at the Grants Pass Performing Arts Center. Tickets will be available for purchase starting from March 1st. The festival is a tribute to the legacy of Barry Snitkin, who was an environmentalist and filmmaker.

The festival aims to inspire environmental activism and love for nature through film. It will feature a unique program of inspiring films, a raffle with a range of local gifts to win, food and drinks, and community partners who will be tabling. We hope you will join us in celebrating the wild and taking action to protect what we love!

Come experience the Botanical Education Garden at HerbPharm! This garden oasis boasts 1.5 acres of winding pathways through more than 500 plants and 30 themed garden beds.

Rogue Valley Farm to School and Herb Pharm will have free kids activities available, including a tasting of local organic tomatoes. Bring your own picnic to enjoy in the garden. No food or drink will be available for purchase onsite.

At noon and 2 pm join a tour of the farm to learn more about the regenerative, organic practices used to cultivate herbs used in Herb Pharm products.
